The gift shop features many exclusive Mission Point Lighthouse gifts, logo-wear clothing, toddler t-shirts, hats, sunglasses, postcards, ornaments, magnets, metal water bottles, books, coasters, maps of Great Lakes shipwrecks & lighthouses, maps of all 129 Michigan Lighthouses and more. (Sorry no food or drinks.) We try to offer a variety of unique items exclusive to our shop that are very affordable. Shipping services for some merchandise - see online shop below. Petoskey stones (locally-found fossilized coral) on display in the gift shop for educational purposes and some for sale. We also have a snowy owl display in our museum - our winter fowl visitors. Meet the keepers, pay a small fee to do the tower climb - 37 steps/see 2nd floor museum and the awesome view! For the 2019 season more than 53,000 visitors signed in and we had visitors from 83 countries and every state. Check out the map with the visitor numbers for previous year displayed inside. Profits from all gift shop sales goes to fund costs of maintaining this historic building now 150 years old.
